Scott Miller
Primary Discipline:
Triathlon
City Of Residence:
Vicksburg
Favorite Race:
Historically, my favorite event was the triathlon, ranging from sprint to Ironman distances. Lately, I have started doing some of the dirt road events and enjoying this type of racing.
Biggest Accomplishments
Biggest accomplishment is competing in the Florida Ironman in 2009. My goal was to finish in 12:30, but ended up finishing 11:53 and averaging 20.1 MPH for the 112 miles.
Advice
The SW Michigan area is blessed with so many resources for performance training and injury prevention. Definitely utilize all the experts/sponsors in the area regardless if you are a beginner or elite athlete.
If I'm Not Competing...
If I wasn't training or competing, you would probably find me hanging out with my wife (Kathy) and two daughters (Lindsey and Sydney); dressed in camo hunting deer or turkey's; or managing Agility Physical Therapy & Sports Performance as Co-owner & Director of Clinical Operations.
One Thing You Don't Know About Me:
I hated to swim or run in high school, thus playing football and wrestling (which required minimal long distance running). Didn't do my first 5K until college (1991) and participated in my first triathlon after my 13 y.o. was born.
