Favorite Race: "For skiing, the Noquemanon, it's such a beautiful course and it's so nice to be out in the woods just enjoying yourself. For canoeing, it has to be the La Classique International de Canots de la Maurice, in Shawinigan, Quebec. Paddling 14 hours over 3 days against the best competition is such a treat, plus the crowds of fans make the whole event really exciting. "

Biggest Accomplishments

Finishing 9th place overall in the 2014 AuSable River Canoe Marathon, or finishing 4th woman in the 2014 Noquemanon. I'm hoping for even better things this year.

Advice

Be willing to put in the time, or be willing to settle for less. If you aren't having fun, do something else.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher. As I grew older, I realized that teaching and learning aren't tied to the classroom, that I can follow my passions and still fulfill that dream.
