City Of Residence:
The Bear Claw Epic is my favorite race. The challenging natural course is located in my beautiful hometown and because it was my first race it will always be near and dear to my heart. Of course I can’t forget to include the wonderful people associated with the race and the Cadillac Pathway.
I won my class two years running (2018 & 2019) at the Bear Claw Epic and hope to make it three this year (2021).
My only advice is what has worked for me. Embrace your local cycling community. Tap into the experience of those who have been around and you will not only find knowledge and experience, but a support network of those with similar interests and goals.
If I'm Not Competing...
When I’m not competing or at my full time job, I love being outdoors and traveling. I also enjoy yoga, running, strength training, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Training takes up my time as well, but it always seems to be more fun with buddies.
One Thing You Don't Know About Me:
Growing up I wanted to be an archaeologist. The last several years, during the summer months, I have volunteered with the Huron Manistee National Forest assisting the Archaeology department. I’ve gotten to experience several excavations, field studies, and site evaluations. It has given me the opportunity to dabble in a childhood aspiration.
