Favorite Race: On the road it was the too short lived Tour de Leelenau. Throw in some hills, a lot of fast guys, and you get a very fast and selective race. But, I would have to say my all time favorite race on a bike was the mountain bike national events at Mount Snow, Vermont. The course was just so brutal (up the hill and down!) and fun at the same time. In addition, throw in unpredictable weather and you didn't know exactly what you were in for except for one thrilling race!

Biggest Accomplishments

Back when I was exclusively racing mountain bikes, I was able to string together a full consistent season and win the state championship series in the Pro/Elite level as well as a couple of races.

Advice

The most important thing is to have fun. The reason most of us got into the sport was the enjoyment and sense of freedom from riding a bike - be it in the woods or on the road. If you're having fun and enjoying what you are doing, the results will come as well as a lifelong addiction to riding.

One Thing You Don't Know About Me:

By day, I drive a desk in front of a computer (and sometimes a car) writing code that goes into the stability controller in your car to make your daily driving experience as safe as possible.
