Favorite Race:
Cherry Roubaix. Although I really like the course that started out of Traverse City, I still enjoyed the 2022 course as well as the opportunity to be a part of a road race in Northern Michigan. In addition to the race, it is always a great weekend to spend with the family in a beautiful part of our state.
Biggest Accomplishments
I think that getting 2nd place in the 2022 Waterloo race was my biggest accomplishment. It was one of my first races after having our daughter and I didn't really have any expectations given my lack of schedule at that time. I was fortunate to get in a break with one other rider and we were able to stay off the front for the rest of the race. More importantly, I had some good teammates in the race that prevented anyone from bridging up to our break.
Advice
Take part in as many group rides as you can and learn how to work on your bike. I tried my best at the first one, but am still lacking the necessary skills to work on my own bike. Also, have fun!
If I'm Not Competing...
