City Of Residence:
My favorite race is probably the Millennium Tri in GR. This is a fantastic race because it is a very encouraging and uplifting atmosphere to be in. The coordinators are friendly and helpful, and it's a great time of the year to race in! But really, my favorite race is whatever race I do with my entire, large, family. Even if everyone isn't competing, they are still out there cheering us on!
My greatest accomplishment has probably been competing in the age group race at the ITU world championships. I consider this to be my greatest accomplishment because this race pushed me to train harder and compete better than I ever have.
A triathlon may seem like a daunting or even scary enigma that has been thrown into the "do not think about this" part of your brain, but really, Triathlons are incredible. There's strategy, planning, and endless amount of new training ideas, and you will never run out of things to do! Perhaps the best part about triathlons, though, is your new ability to amaze your friends with the speed and fluidity at which you're able to put your shoes on.
If I'm Not Competing...
If I'm not competing, I'm probably doing homework. If I'm not doing homework, I'm probably training, If I'm not training, I'm playing an instrument, sailing, hiking, hammocking with a good book, or, occasionally, interacting with other humans.
One Thing You Don't Know About Me:
I am a magician. I have performed anywhere between a 5 year old birthday party to a large corporation Christmas gathering. I perform magic because I love it. It's always fun for me to see the look of shock, awe, and frustration (in that order) on a person's face.
